We have provided as accurate and detailed descriptions as possible and have made every attempt to ensure that the illustrations are a true representation of each lot. However, there are technological limitations and images are sold as described. Please be sure to read the descriptions carefully before bidding. Bidding
The minimum bid for each lot is the price quoted in the description. Bidding increments are as follows:

In the case of duplicate bids the earliest bid will take precedence. Bidders are responsible for any bidding errors. Please review your bids carefully before placing them. Maximum bids will be accepted and encouraged. Bids will be entered on your behalf for specified lots until the highest competing bid is exceed or your maximum is reached. The highest bid will be the winning and final bid price. This sale does not include any type of buyer’s premium.

The auction will close on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:00 PM EST. Bids may be placed at any time until the auction closes at 10:00 PM EST. After 10 PM, phone and internet bids will continue to be accepted until there have been no further bids for a period of ten minutes, at which point the auction will close. This "10-minute rule" is intended to allow bidders an opportunity to place final bids. Bidders may request to be contacted in the event that they are out bid. We reserve the right to reject any bid and/or withdraw any lot without prior notice.
To send bid electronically, simply click on the bidding paddles throughout the catalog. This will bring up an email message form in which you can provide personal information (name, email, phone, etc.) as well as bids and bidding instructions (such as maximum bids or contact requests). Bids may also be sent directly by email to capitolgallery@sbcglobal.net. Of course, mail, phone and fax bids are also encouraged. Electronic bids will be acknowledged by return email; if you do not receive electronic confirmation of your bid within 24 hours, please call us to ensure receipt.

Payment
Invoices will be sent out within ten days from the close of the sale and will include shipping and insurance costs. All packages will be sent USPS Priority Mail unless other arrangements are agreed upon. Illinois sales tax will be charged to Illinois residents unless payment is accompanied by a valid IL resale tax ID number.

Payments are due immediately upon receipt of invoice and purchases must be paid in full within two weeks from the close of the auction. Payments must be in US dollars; checks or money orders must be drawn on US banks. Visa and MasterCard payments are also accepted for purchases totalling under $1,000. We reserve the right to ensure that funds have cleared prior to shipment of merchandise.

Returns
Because it is important to us that you are pleased with your purchase, all lots are unconditionally guaranteed. If you are not satisfied that your purchase is as described you may return it within three days from the date of receipt in original condition for a refund of the sale price, less shipping costs. Please contact us for instructions on how to complete a return.

A list of prices realized will be sent to all print catalog subscribers after the sale has been completed. It will also be posted to the website shortly after the sale has closed.
