Fantastic grouping of a tintype of a fireman with his buddies, accompanied by a souvenir volunteer firemen ribbon. The fireman is from the #3 hose of what appears to be the C.F.D. There is more writing on the hat, but it has been difficult to determine the full word. The fireman is quite decorated, as witnessed by the multitude of ribbons on his chest. His buddy on the right is smoking a cigar and holding a thin wooden cane and wears a similar souvenir ribbon. The gentleman on the left in the back is also wearing an occupational hat, quite possibly that of a railroad ticket taker. The image is in very good condition with a small, light amount of surface wear. It measures 2 3/16” x 3 1/2” and has two corners cut at an angle. While the ribbon came with the image we can’t be certain they were originally paired together. Regardless, this is an interesting collectible.
