Stunning young woman by Weston

Outstanding sixth-plate of a stunning woman by Weston, 132 Chatham St., NYC, as identified by a brass mat stamp.  According to Craig’s Registry Robert Weston first operated at this address in 1851.  Posed in front of Weston’s typical scenic lake backdrop this fresh-faced young beauty’s gorgeous head of hair is styled in beautiful long ringlets.  She is dressed in a lovely plaid outfit with a white lace collar.  It is complimented by a lightly tinted necklace which holds a gold circular pendant, possibly an image locket.   The plate is in very good plus condition with very nice tones and contrast.  There is some perimeter tarnish and some light spotting as seen in the scan.  It has been resealed with a new glass and is housed in a full leather case.
