Quarter-plate English of a couple. The gentleman seems quite confident while his wife definitely seems less self-assured. Both are fashionably dressed, he is pants that have thin horizontal stripes throughout and one large vertical stripe down the side of each leg. She wears a large patterned skirt with a dark cape and a fur stole, along with a large decorated bonnet accented with a huge bow at her throat. The plate is in excellent condition with a few very small spots of the black backing missing. The woman is slightly soft in focus and there is one extremely small dark spot under her eye. Presented in an English passe-partout style with the white showing some light staining.
